Andrew Mackie
Richard Payten
Co-founders of independent distributor Transmission Films, Richard Payten and Andrew Mackie have released more than 400 films and generated over $350 million at the box office. The films acquired and distributed by Richard and Andrew include Lion, The King’s Speech, Ride Like A Girl, Samson & Delilah, Strictly Ballroom, Brooklyn, The Railway Man, Super Size Me, Calvary, Shame and Carol. They were also the co-founders of Oscar-winning production company, See-Saw films (The King’s Speech, Lion, Widows) and have Executive Produced such films as Ride Like A Girl, Sweet Country, Mary & Max, Tracks and Candy starring Heath Ledger. Prior to Transmission, Payten was general manager of Ronin Films and then, together with Mackie, was managing director of Dendy Films and the Globe Film Co. Mackie is a current board member of the Adelaide Film Festival, Screen Canberra and Kew Media Australia.
